So one question that comes up a lot when people look into their next Android phone is; "How good is the screen?" To be really honest, it's hard to say that there is a clear cut "best" screen out there. There are so many variables to consider; resolution, display technology, display size, etc.
To try to come to some sort of a resolution to the argument I decided to have a display shootout between four of the top phones available in Canada. They are diverse enough to really cover a huge segment of Android Phones.
Our test samples are:
- HTC Incredible S from Bell
This phone has a 4-inch screen, sporting the latest Super LCD technology
- Motorola Atrix 4G from Bell
This phone has a 4-inch screen, sporting a TFT LCD but at qHD 960x560px resolution
- Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc from Rogers
This phone has a 4.2-inch screen, sporting a TFT LCD with the Bravia Engine
- Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate 4G from TELUS
This phone has a 4-inch screen, sporting Super AMOLED technology
The only prominent screens missing would probably be AMOLED, Super AMOLED Plus and an IPS screen but this test covers a large portion of all high-end Android Device screens.
Let us know which one you think is the best in the comment section below.
