HTC confirms that it will roll out Android 4.1 Jelly Bean to Rogers HTC One X
While the last reports of a Jelly Bean update to HTC devices were encouraging, there was no official confirmation, until today that is. Good news to people who picked up a Rogers HTC One X in the past few months and have been wanting a taste of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
According to Engadget, HTC has confirmed to them that the Rogers HTC One X is going to be upgraded to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Unfortunately, while the official statement mentions the One X(L) and One S there is no offical word for on the TELUS version of the One X or the various One S version available from various carrier getting Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
This makes HTC one of the first companies to officially back an upgrade to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Given the similarities between Android 4.0 and 4.1 we hope to see the upgrade sooner than later. We'll keep following the news as it unfolds and if other One X/S versions in Canada are given the confirmation for Android 4.1 Jelly Bean we will let you guys know.
