The main reason for many to get a Nexus device is to get updates first. The Nexus S might be a bit older than its newer Nexus stablemates the Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 7, but that doesn't mean it's going away any time soon. Google has announced today that the Nexus S on Rogers is part of the many Nexus S devices world wide that will start receiving Android 4.1 Jelly Bean via an Over The Air update.
We aren't sure what this means for other Nexus S variants but seeing a Canadian carrier mentioned in the official Google news release leads us to believe that the update should be hitting other carriers shortly.
