According to AndroidCentral, the international version of the Galaxy S III is confirmed, by internal sources, to receive Android 4.1 Jelly Bean after the rumored unveiling of the Galaxy Note 2 on Aug 29th. This would be a wondrous turn of events as Samsung hasn't exactly been a leader in bringing updates to their handsets in a timely fashion and would make the Galaxy S III the first flagship phone to be upgraded to Jelly Bean. We do however caution that the North American version using the Snapdragon S4 will probably have to wait a bit after as additional modification will be needed for the DC-HSPA+ and LTE versions.
