We have potentially bad news for those hoping to get a Jelly Bean update for their Galaxy S III or One S in the near future. According to the trusty Telstra OS upgrade schedule, there was a "showstopper" bug discovered by Samsung that has pushed back the update to an unconfirmed date. Sad to see this happen to Telstra customers and if their update schedule is to be believed it means that this "showstopper bug" could potentially affect Canadian Galaxy S III's as well.
On the flip side, it looks like HTC has delayed updating the One S to which has pushed it to 2013. Thankfully the HTC One XL (One X variant in Canada) looks like it has an update in testing by Telstra, which could mean a similar update could be in the hands of Rogers and TELUS testers as we speak or in the very near future.
Again we remind our readers that these are the plans of Telstra and are purely speculative when it comes to affecting the Canadian versions of these handsets as each carrier handles upgrades differently despite the matching hardware.
