After unveiling the Xperia Tablet Z back in January some were wondering when it would make it to Canadian shelves. Sony has traditionally released many of its devices to Canada through their Sony stores as well as carrier partners, so its no surprise that the Sony Xperia Tablet Z will be no different. According to an official Sony press release the Xperia Tablet Z will be make available to Canadians in the second quarter of this calendar year.
As a reminder the Xperia Tablet Z touts a Qualcomm 1.5GHz Quad-core S4 Pro, 2GB RAM, 32GB storage, 10.1-inch 1,920 x 1,200 screen with Mobile Bravia Engine 2, 8.1-megapixel Exmor R camera, NFC, microSD expansion and Sony's "S-Force" virtual surround sound. All of this is contained in a mindblowingly thin 6.9mm package at 495grams which is also waterproof. For Q2 the WiFi only version will be available through Sony stores and we wouldn't be surprised if the 4G LTE version was made available by carriers later this year.
