Motorola Moto G Android 4.4 KitKat update rolling out to TELUS and Koodo owners
If you've read our Motorola Moto G review, you know that we really enjoyed the device, if not please do so! In any case, the Moto G just get a whole lot better by being one of the first non-Nexus devices to get Android 4.4 KitKat.
According to Reddit user bbud613, his Moto G had the update notification for the 173.44.9.en.CA update for Android 4.4 KitKat. This update is pretty significant for the Moto G, not just for the features it brings, but most importantly for the reduced memory footprint that allows the Moto G to be much snappier as more RAM is used up by applications at any given time.
Daniel Bader of MobileSyrup does also mention that the after reaching out to Motorola it seems like the Android 4.4 KitKat update for the Moto X is in testing and should be hitting users "soon".
